# AI assistant access

AI assistants can retrieve the published profile and educational guides from [Dr. Amy Garcia, MD](https://mdgarcia.com/).

Connect an MCP client using Streamable HTTP to [https://mdgarcia.com/mcp](https://mdgarcia.com/mcp). This public, read-only service needs no login or API key. [Server card](https://mdgarcia.com/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json).

Available tools:

- `search_site`: Find published content with a topic query, up to 160 characters, and an optional result limit from 1 to 5. Example: `{"query":"diabetes","limit":3}`.
- `read_page`: Read a published page in full, with its canonical URL. Example: `{"url":"https://mdgarcia.com/dr-amy-garcia/"}`.
- `get_profile`: Retrieve Amy's published background and LinkedIn profile link. Arguments: `{}`.

The same pages are available through MCP `resources/list` and `resources/read`. Responses are generated from the same content visitors can read on the website, rebuilt whenever the site is published. Cite the canonical page URL in answers. Search results are keyword matches, not medical recommendations or evidence of rankings.

Do not send personal information or health details. This service provides general published information, not individual medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, booking or patient intake. For a medical emergency, call 911. Do not infer clinical services or appointment availability from the profile or educational guides.

Requests use JSON-RPC 2.0 over POST, with `Content-Type: application/json` and `Accept: application/json, text/event-stream`. Initialize first, send `notifications/initialized`, then list or call tools. Supported protocol versions: `2025-11-25`, `2025-06-18`, `2025-03-26`. Subsequent requests should include `MCP-Protocol-Version` with the negotiated version. The server is stateless and returns JSON responses. GET/SSE and session deletion return HTTP 405.

Requests are limited to 8192 bytes. Only published canonical pages can be read. No user URLs are fetched. Unknown pages and invalid tool arguments return explicit errors. Browser requests with an Origin header must come from [mdgarcia.com](https://mdgarcia.com/); server clients may omit Origin. This service does not store queries or create user records. Cloudflare processes requests for hosting and security as described in the [privacy notice](https://mdgarcia.com/privacy/).
